October
project update (October 2007)
I
have decided to go all-in on this idea previously
called "The October Project." I'm going
to retire the idea of releasing a song every October,
instead, devote 2009 to write an LP around this
concept now titled "Halloween" and release
it in 2010. 2008 will be devoted to taking Scythe
on the road.
Since
it's October and I just released a song called
October on Scythe, I thought it would be a good
idea to have it as a free download this month.

October Project Info
When
you think of holiday music you probably think
of Christmas music. Halloween music and albums
are rare, and many are poorly executed. To fill
this void Dimension Zero presents The
October Project.
Every
October a track (or two) will be released to celebrate
Halloween. Each track will be based on a horror
movie and eventually will be compiled into an
LP entitled October. These tracks
aren’t typical songs, but are a mix of ambient
and instrumental pieces. The movies the songs
are based on are studied, a script is written,
and the final work reflects this inspiration.
These are completely original works. No sampling
of the movies or re-creation of the music will
be found.
The
majority of these movies are rated R. Because
of this, The October Project is explicit
and contains extreme sounds of horror and gore.
If you haven’t seen these movies, do not
listen to these songs.
Happy
Halloween! - Monty |
