Dimension Zero - Scythe Live - Audition Information

Hello,

Thanks for stopping by and considering auditioning for Dimension Zero. Before going any further, I want to find musicians that enjoy the music on DZ's debut LP, Scythe. You can listen to the entire album below.

The music is primarily electronic, however, I want to re-create these songs with live instruments so you can add your own style to them.

Drummers - Please listen to tracks 5 - Ice Man and 8 - RePLica for the most complex drumming. All drums (even electronic drums) will be performed live.

Guitarists and Bassists - Please listen to tracks 5 - Ice Man, 9 - R.I.P. and 10 - October for the most complex guitar work.

Saxophone and Keyboards - Please listen to tracks 7 - Nascentes Morimur and the end of track 8 - RePLiCa for the brass sections. All songs have synths in them. The majority of the playing will be keyboards.

If you are still interested in joining DZ here is what I am up to:

DZ started out as a solo project where I used studio musicians performances, computers, and my performances for the debut LP, Scythe, which was released worldwide on June 10th. I am taking DZ live, starting out in Utah, then covering the West via automobile and plane to support the album. Here is what I'm looking for:

1 - Enthusisastic, postive, talented musicans in their mid twenties looking to play live, have a great time, and work hard.

2 - Own or have access to an automobile.

3 - Live within an hour of downtown Salt Lake City and be able to meet the following schedule: Rehearsals are Thursdays 6pm-10pm, Sunday 11am-3pm. Gigging on average two weekends a month, starting locally and then expanding throughout the west.

4 - Mobile phone and access to Internet.

5 - If you have gear that could contribue to the live show, great! Please let me know.

6 - If you write your own material, please let me know. I'd love to hear it.

7 - If you're looking for experience in the music business, this is as hands-on as it gets. Press, radio, merchandise, distribution, promotion, production, touring, etc.

8 - One year commitment. For a year I am focusing on touring and need a one year commitment. After a year, we can re-evaluate and go from there. If things go well, I would love to work on future albums as a collaborative effort.

9 - If you play in other bands, great! Play in your current band and play with DZ a couple times a month.

The positions are paid. Financial arrangements will be made once an offer is made.

If this sounds good to you please leave a message at 801-241-4444 to arrange an audition. When you leave this message say the codeword CHERRY HEARSE before your message or your phone call will be ignored. This web page is a filter to make sure you can follow some basic instructions. I'm not trying to be rude here but you know how flaky some people can be so I have a few hoops to jump through to find the responsible/reliable musicians. Auditions will take about twenty minutes and will be filmed at the rehearsal studio. Auditions will be held Thursdays 6pm-10pm and Sunday 11am-3pm. You can also contact me via email info@dimensionzero.com if you have any additional questions.
